Say "Hello!" to Amanda and Paul!
They exchanged vows in a very intimate outdoor wedding this weekend.
As with most Brides this year, this wasn't exactly the plan. Covid-19 had it's way and changed things around but these two laughed it off and kept moving forward.
Amanda & Paul have a larger wedding planned for March 2021 and had originally chosen that date because Amanda was supposed to be returning from Uganda around that time. She was sent home early due to restrictions surrounding Covid-19.
Paul is a military service member for our country and has been stationed in Texas, where they will both be starting their new lives together.
They decided to hold an intimate outdoor ceremony with immediate family to make the marriage official and to celebrate with those closest to them, prior to the big move across the country.
In Virginia, you never know what the weather might hold. The day before their wedding, it was pouring rain for almost 24 hours straight but on their wedding day, the sun was shining bright and there was a perfect breeze for everyone to enjoy.
Fall has definitely arrived but we enjoyed the pure golden sunlight during their beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony was complete, the families hugged each other and grandma's grabbed photos of the newlyweds.
You couldn't help but feel your heart swell when you witness moments like these.
Both Amanda & Paul's family are incredibly easy going, fun-loving and always ready for a good laugh. Seeing the two families become joined was remarkable and you could just feel the love between Paul & Amanda unite everyone.
While everyone gathered inside to enjoy some delicious food and socialize, we slipped away for some romantic, airy photographs of the newly married couple.
Amanda's parents own a beautiful home on the waterfront in Yorktown, VA. This beautiful location was ideal for both Amanda's wedding and for her brother Conor's Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding back in June.
The views are simply divine and you can never go wrong when you are surrounded by those you love.
At the start of the day, Amanda shared some photos they had displayed for everyone to see that detailed various travels and experiences she and Paul had shared together before getting married. Amanda expressed that they aren't great in front of the camera and that they would take any direction that I could offer. Every single time a client tells me this, I already know they are going to rock it.
They naturally took to posing and made it look so effortless, even though it started getting chillier outside. They had absolutely nothing to worry about! These two absolutely crushed it!
Thank you to the Wallace family for trusting me to document the second wedding for your family,
I am always honored to have return clients given the level of trust and comfort has already been established. It's also a blast to connect with past Bride and Groom's! (and their families, too!)
Amanda and Paul, I wish you two the best as you both embark on your new journey in Texas.
Paul, thank you for your service and take great joy knowing your Grandfather was smiling with you during this momentous occasion.
May you both have endless double rainbows, laughs and warm nights spent by each others sides.
Congratulations!
Thanks to Elle Kayeleen Photography for second shooting along with me.
