The story of baby Cadhla is quite amazing.
I've been friends with Tamara for years. She is an amazing newborn photographer in the area. Her work is amazing and she truly is a baby whisperer. In fact, she took my daughter Juliet's newborn photos and they are beyond beautiful. I'll truly treasure them forever.
Through the years, she has suffered the heartache of infertility and desperately waiting for her turn to have a baby. She watched friend after friend conceive and she continued to soldier on. With each positive test, a little bit of hope would shine through. After five long years of waiting, her turn finally came. The tears, frustration, disappointment and fears were finally over. She was finally pregnant.
After having three boys, she was ready for her little girl. Her dream came true when she found out out their last baby would be a girl. She beautifully decorated and prepared for this baby. The scars of infertility didn't completely fade. When you are used to losing, it's hard to feel like it's all going to be okay. Tamara enjoyed her pregnancy and tried hard to savor every moment, knowing it would be her last. She was such a beautiful mom-to-be. When Cadhla was ready to make her entrance earth side, it was tough. The birth nearly killed Tamara. Together, Tamara & Jimmy heal from that experience while they travel down this road of parenthood together.
At just three months old, Miss Cadhla is full of personality. She literally follows the camera around with her eyes and is always aware of what's going on. Tamara really wanted to document these moments of the baby while she's still tiny but Cadhla has had other plans. She has made it quite difficult for her mom to grab those photos. Today, we spent some time just letting them do what they do each day. They snuggled on the bed, played dress up, read books and she lovingly fed her little gingersnap.
I am so happy that Tamara invited me over to help. From that positive test to this sweet cooing baby, I am happy to help tell their story.
