As 2020 came to a close, I reflected on my first official year back as a photographer.
For seven years, I had dedicated myself as a wedding photographer and decided to take a break to raise our children. This year, all four of my children were finally school aged and I planned to jump back into the photography world in January. I had prepared during that time by taking classes and soaking up all of the knowledge that I could in anticipation for my return.
Then Covid hit and the world was forever changed.
Although it wasn't the ideal time, we made the best under the circumstances. This year was full of ups and downs but I wouldn't trade it in for anything.
I was blessed enough to document five beautiful weddings this year, including one in an emergency situation. I was trusted by families as they welcomed their new babies earth side, along with the final moments of sweet baby Elijah. We helped women feel empowered with boudoir sessions and also embarked on a very important project that should be rolling out next month. I was chosen to have photographs displayed at the Chrysler Museum for the "Come Together, Right Now!" exhibit.,which was a life long dream that had been fulfilled!
I am so grateful for the time spent behind the camera capturing these unforgettable moments, big and small.
I am always in awe of the trust that clients place in me with their memories and for that, I am always humbled.
So I truly THANK YOU for making 2020 successful.
I look forward to what 2021 brings!
